Strange thing though, this does not happen when sent from my iPhone (or from the web for that matter), indicating clearly that the issue lies within the Mail app for OS X. When youve finished composing your email, click Send in the message window. In the Properties dialog box, under Delivery options, put a tick in the Do not deliver before check box and set the desired date and time. It is all the more annoying since it syncs across my devices and I get these duplicates on my iPhone and on the web interface as well. On the Options tab, in the More Options group, click the Delay Delivery button. Indeed, I noticed that when sending e-mails from Mail (OS X), the sent items would show up twice in the sent folder. To choose a date and time for when you want your scheduled email to be send, click on the dropdown arrows next to the suggested date and/or choose a time by clicking on the clock icon. So if you have the rule set for 1 minute, and you click send at 4:29:45, the message will leave your outbox at 4:30:00, only giving you 15 seconds to grab it and correct it. Click on the Send Later button to schedule your email.
A few days ago, Hotmail/Outlook announced they started supporting IMAP and I thought that it would be the great way to sync my mail across all my devices (MacBook Pro + iPhone) and proceeded to set up my account as an IMAP account on all of them. The rule does not delay emails by 60 seconds for every minute you indicate, instead it sets the time to send the mail that many minutes in the future. As the title suggests, I am experiencing an issue with the Mail app on my MacBook Pro.
